This is one of a series of acrylic glazing studies I painted over the summer. Here I began exploring a violet/yellow complementary scheme, but this was leading to realistic skin tones when I was hoping for something more stylistic. I worked Cyan glazes over the whole to give the piece a darker, almost nighttime feel.
